In the Installation and Building Services Engineering apprenticeship, with the main module in Heating Technology and the special module in Control and Regulation Technology, you will acquire comprehensive skills in the planning, installation, and maintenance of building services systems. A particular focus is on heating technology, as well as control and regulation technology, which enables the efficient and precise control of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will learn not only how to systematically prepare and process work orders, but also how to plan, dimension, and install heating and control systems. One focus of your training will be control technology, which enables you to control complex building services systems so that energy is used efficiently and desired temperatures are maintained. This includes understanding and applying measurement, control, and regulation processes to ensure optimal system operation.
Your tasks
- Heating and control technology: You will learn the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heating systems as well as the integration of control technologies for controlling temperature and energy consumption.
- Control and regulation technology: You will acquire in-depth knowledge of setting up, testing, and systematically troubleshooting control and regulation systems. This also includes measuring and evaluating data for controlling heating and air conditioning systems.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: You will learn how to maintain, inspect, and service building systems. Particular emphasis is placed on systematically detecting, locating, and resolving faults, particularly in the areas of heating technology and control and regulation technology.
- Measurement techniques: You will be trained in the handling and application of measurement techniques to ensure that the control systems operate precisely and reliably.
- Electrical protective measures: You will learn how to check and document electrical protective measures to ensure protection against electric shock and maintain a high level of safety in buildings.
