We are looking to fill a new position for an Accountant with Administrative Responsibilities (all genders) on a part-time basis (24 hours per week).
At Quantum Technology Laboratories GmbH (qtlabs), we are driving innovation in optical and quantum-based communication technologies. Our team develops cutting-edge quantum key distribution (QKD) systems and optoelectronic solutions for space and terrestrial applications. Based in Vienna, our center of excellence contributes to shaping secure global communication through technological advancement.
As a valued member of our finance team, you will primarily take responsibility for accounting activities while also handling selected administrative and organizational tasks.
Your tasks
- Ongoing accounting activities in accordance with Austrian accounting standards
- Processing and posting of invoices, purchase orders, and incoming goods
- Maintenance and reconciliation of accounting records
- Support in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss)
- Coordination and communication with external partners (mainly in German)
- General administrative and organizational tasks related to accounting and finance
- Support in day-to-day financial and organizational operations
Your profile
- Completed accounting education or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting
- Solid knowledge of Austrian accounting practices and processes
- Very accurate, structured, and reliable working style
- Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Very good command of German (spoken and written, required for daily business and correspondence)
- English skills are an advantage
- Independent, responsible, and team-oriented working style

The minimum gross salary for this position is 2.637,00 per month (full-time basis) as defined by the collective agreement. Depending on your qualifications and experience, we are open to offering a market-based overpayment.
